By using RenoLedger ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
RenoLedger is an AI-powered renovation planning platform. We provide tools to track renovation projects, generate cost estimates, compare options, optimize budgets, communicate with contractors, and assess DIY potential. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
3. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- You may delete your account at any time from settings, which permanently removes all your data.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Free and Pro tiers
- The Free tier provides unlimited projects plus limited AI usage (3 calls per feature per month).
- The Pro tier ($10/month) unlocks unlimited AI usage, Compare Engine, Budget Optimizer, Smart Prioritization, Project AI Chat, Bulk AI Assist, DIY Assessment, and Pre-Sale Advisor.
- Pricing, billing, and cancellation terms are presented at checkout. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data.
- Abuse the AI features by submitting content unrelated to renovation planning.
- Use the contractor messaging feature to send spam, harassment, or misleading communications.
- Automate access to the Service beyond normal use (scraping, bots, etc.).
6. Your data
- You own your project data (projects, cost entries, comparisons, photos, conversations).
- You grant us a limited license to store and process your data to provide the Service.

7. AI features
- AI-generated cost estimates, comparisons, and budget allocations are approximations based on your inputs and public data. Actual renovation costs vary widely and depend on local market conditions, labor availability, material prices, permits, and site conditions. RenoLedger makes no guarantees of accuracy.
- AI-generated contractor messages are drafts. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any message before sending.
- DIY assessments are informational only. They are not a substitute for the advice of a licensed contractor, structural engineer, electrician, plumber, or other qualified professional. Renovation work can involve safety, structural, electrical, plumbing, and permitting considerations that require professional expertise.
- YouTube tutorials linked from the DIY feature are third-party content. RenoLedger does not endorse or verify their accuracy or safety.
8. No professional advice
RenoLedger is a planning and record-keeping tool, not a licensed contractor, architect, engineer, or financial advisor. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional construction, engineering, legal, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for decisions about your renovation, including hiring contractors, pulling permits, and verifying that work meets local building codes.
9. Contractors and third parties
Contractor information surfaced via Yelp is provided by Yelp and may be inaccurate or out of date. RenoLedger does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the work of any contractor. Any engagement with a contractor is solely between you and that contractor.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RenoLedger and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising from your use of the Service — including any cost overrun, construction defect, contractor dispute, injury, or property damage related to your renovation.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
